NFMC Competitions and Awards
The National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) offers more than $750,000 in competition and award prizes on the local, state and national level. The Biennial Young Artist and Ellis Duo-Pianists competitions award a total of $77,300 in awards and two years of performance bookings. Additional competitions are sponsored by the Federation in a wide range of categories, including voice, instrumental music, composition, dance, conducting, handicapped and visually impaired, and music therapy. NFMC also sponsors more than 40 annual and biennial awards for students desiring to attend Summer Music Centers.

NFMC Biennial Student/Collegiate Auditions Awards Given in Odd Numbered Years
Categories: Piano, Organ, Percussion, Violin, Viola, Violoncello, Double Bass, Man’s Voice, Woman’s Voice, Classical Guitar, Harp, Orchestral Woodwinds (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone), Orchestral Brass (French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba) Student age: 19 through 25 (Applicants must have reached their 19th birthday but not the 26th birthday by the application date) Entry Fee: $30 for each category Award: $3,000 for the winner in each category, $500 2nd Place Award in each Category The winner may be asked to perform at Biennial Convention when feasible. Deadline: February 15, the year of Auditions Repertoire, Rules, Information Applications are sent to the National Chair.
