Junior Composer Contest
Dear Colleagues,
I hope you have been encouraging your creative students to enter the Jr. Composers Contest. The benefits of composing are huge, and we never fail to be inspired and challenged by the comments of our excellent judges each year. Remember that in order to enter students in this contest your NFMC/AFMC membership must be up to date. All aspects of entering the contest are done through a portal on the national website.
Note that the state deadline for receipt of entries is February 1. The total entry fee is $25.00.
These fees will be payable by credit card when you complete your online registration.
All submissions must be made online at nfmc-music.org/. Be prepared to submit the signed application form, composition score, and MP3 recording of the composition. Details are below:
APPLICATION: can be found at https://www.nfmc-music.org/competitionscategory/junior-composers-awards/. You may download the form, directly type in your information, save to your computer, print, obtain all the signatures, and then scan as a PDF.
