Convention Hotels

Jonesboro is hosting a baseball tournament the same weekend as the AFMC Convention, so it was fortunate that these rooms were available. The two convention hotels are next door to each other. The Comfort Suites offers suites with king-size beds only. For those who need double beds, the Fairfield Inn next door has reserved standard double rooms for AFMC.

Linda D. Lind
NFMC Junior Division Chairman

Linda D. LindBorn, raised and educated in Oklahoma, Linda attended the Oklahoma College for Women as an undergraduate and the University of Oklahoma for graduate study. She recently retired as a private piano teacher after 46 years. During that time she was Junior Counselor for the Lind Junior Music Club. Linda is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and the American College of Musicians and serves as an adjudicator for the Guild. She is a Life Member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and served four years as National Junior Festival Chairman and four years as the NFMC Festivals Bulletin Chairman and is a Rose Fay Thomas Fellow. She has been a member of the Virginia Federation of Music Clubs Board of Directors for 30 years and served as VFMC Junior Counselor, Area Festival Chairman and State Festival Chairman. Linda is a Virginia Past State President of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She is currently serving as NFMC Junior Division Chairman and is a member of the NFMC Board of Directors and the NFMC Executive Board. Linda and her husband, Dick, have two children and four grandchildren and spend their leisure time traveling and fly-fishing.
